I don't know about any of you but my hair is quite fussy when I'm trying to style it, especially when I try to curl it. My hair simply refuses to hold a curl for very long, if at all, unless I put in an awful lot of hairspray. Fortunately I have found a way to get my hair to hold a curl that looks absolutely effortless.
Start with freshly shampooed and conditioned hair
I always add volumizer to my hair first...I swear by the Garnier Fructis Style Sky-Hi Volume Mouse. It gives me mega volume and doesn't leave my hair sticky like some products.
Next, I spritz Herbal Essence Tousling Spray gel. This helps my hair form the curls in the braid. Its super easy to just spray my hair all over with this.
I gently comb my hair with a wide tooth comb to make sure all the product is evenly distributed.
Then braid your hair..It doesn't matter what kind of braid you do.. I do a weird mixture of a french and a dutch braid
This next step may vary from person to person
I like to leave my braids in for at least 24 hours to make sure my hair fully sets in the braids. If you feel uncomfortable leaving your hair in braids for that long, that's okay, you can take your braids out the next morning.
When it's time to take my hair out, I simply undo my braids. Flip my hair upside down and shake it out. Fluff it with my fingers. Et Voila beautiful Effortless Curls!
