Effortless Curls

Hello Everyone!

I don't know about any of you but my hair is quite fussy when I'm trying to style it, especially when I try to curl it. My hair simply refuses to hold a curl for very long, if at all, unless I put in an awful lot of hairspray. Fortunately I have found a way to get my hair to hold a curl that looks absolutely effortless.

Start with freshly shampooed and conditioned hair

I always add volumizer to my hair first...I swear by the Garnier Fructis Style Sky-Hi Volume Mouse. It gives me mega volume and doesn't leave my hair sticky like some products.

Next, I spritz Herbal Essence Tousling Spray gel. This helps my hair form the curls in the braid. Its super easy to just spray my hair all over with this.

I gently comb my hair with a wide tooth comb to make sure all the product is evenly distributed.

Then braid your hair..It doesn't matter what kind of braid you do.. I do a weird mixture of a french and a dutch braid

This next step may vary from person to person
I like to leave my braids in for at least 24 hours to make sure my hair fully sets in the braids. If you feel uncomfortable leaving your hair in braids for that long, that's okay, you can take your braids out the next morning.

When it's time to take my hair out, I simply undo my braids. Flip my hair upside down and shake it out. Fluff it with my fingers. Et Voila beautiful Effortless Curls!

Salute to Summer

Hello Everyone!
Next Tuesday, September 23, we say goodbye to summer and hello to fall. Before that happens though,  I thought I would share with you my favorite summer products and hairstyles. Summer is not over yet!

My favorite products this summer were the Marine Summer Hair collection from Frederic Fekkai. Their products can be a tad pricey but I would definitely say they are worth the investment.

Smooth Sailing Anti-Frizz Cream

This stuff works wonders on frizzy, out of control hair. During the summer months, I am constantly in the sun and so my hair tends to dry out really quickly. This keeps my hair hydrated. I put a dollop in after I shower. It keeps my hair silky and smooth.

Cooling Shine Mist

On days I know I'm going to spend a bunch of time in the sun I always spray this on before I leave the house. It's quick and easy to use, just spray on your hair and you'll get a beautiful shine. The most important thing about this product is it provides UV protection, which is always beneficial.

And my absolute favorite product...

Beachcomber Leave-in Conditioner
This is one of my all time favorite hair products. For anyone
who has ever felt the need to wash their hair immediately after swimming in  the ocean or a pool, this product is for you. This product has many great aspects, it: de-tangles, moisturizes, and protects. You will not feel the need to immediately wash your hair anymore. I recommend this to everyone!

I also love putting my hair up in a bun during the summer months. Buns are in right now, super cute, and super easy to do. Where I'm from we are known for our big hair, so I love adding volume to buns. I do that by using a sock bun and rolling it into my hair. It is an extremely easy hairstyle that will take only a few minutes. What is perfect about a sock bun is that you can use it for any occasion: formal or casual.

Those are my Summer Favorites! If you have any summer favorites feel free to let me know what they are in the comment section below. I would love to know what everyone else loves during summer.

So Long Summer, see you next year!

This is Me!

Hello Everyone!
I'm new to the whole blogging scene, so please bare with me. Since I am a complete beginner, I thought I would share some things about me to break the ice.

My name is Elizabeth Louise Bernadette Stoldt. I'm 17 years old.

I don't know what I would do without my friends, they mean the world to me.

I love my crazy, wild hair ( that sometimes doesn't behave no matter what I do)

This blog will be a mix of many things. I will post about my hair (the styles and techniques i love and the products I use). I will post about makeup (what I'm loving, what i'm not loving). I will post about my outfits and accessories.

I am by no means an expert in anything beauty or fashion related. I just thought I would share my opinion and the knowledge I have learned from others throughout the years.
